I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious my tandoori chicken naanwich turned out. Having never been to this restaurant before I went with the suggestion of the man who took my order. I couldn't have asked for a better meal! Made extra spicy as I requested. I will definitely be back to try some new meals. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the restaurant was organized and immaculate. I look forward to becoming a regular customer.

Driving down Cleveland Avenue, one of the busier streets in Ft. Myers, there are tons of restaurants- both large chains and quaint little local cafes. We found one called the Happiness Healthy Cafe among a small strip of shops. It would be easy to miss it. Upon looking at the menu online, I found a number of intriguing Vegan Indian dishes from paninis to curry. My companion Chad ordered the Spicy Black Bean Nanwich. It wasn't large but he enjoyed it. Served with a side of chips, it was a decent value at $6.40. I went for the Channa Masala, a Vegan curry with chickpeas and a blend of spices. Served with rice, my meal was hearty and filling. On the side of my meal was Naan served with Rayta (similar to Tzatziki sauce). I loved the Rayta sauce and it was perfect with the Naan bread. The menu also has a selection of smoothies ranging from Pina Colada to Mango Lassi. Chad ordered the Strawberry-Banana and liked it. I tried coconut water. The atmosphere doesn't scream "restaurant"- the kitchen is a small area walled off by a curtain behind the counter. However, the portions were plentiful and rather inexpensive. This is one cozy spot we would visit again.

Full disclosure: I am from NYC and I consider myself an Indian food aficionado (its my favorite genre of food), and I have been to over 20 places, so the only person that knows Indian food better than me, are true Indians. So here is the story: I was here visiting family, and decided to give them a try. Bottom line: though the food does not taste like "Authentic" Indian food whatsoever, their own variation of it was VERY ENJOYABLE. To elaborate: The mango lassi I had did not taste anything like "real" lassi, but this was essentially a mango smoothie and again, it was VERY GOOD. Everything is cooked from SCRATCH which is a BIG PLUS in my book! (it took about 20 minutes, and I am not one of those people who mind waiting for there food if it's being made from scratch). The Aloo Gobi Matar, and Matar Paneer- Again, not authentic, but EXTREMELY tasty. the papadans were 100% Authentic. The naan bread was good too (but not authentic). I would certainly visit again because i truly enjoyed the food and the two staff members were VERY accommodating and kind. They also do not overload the food with Ghee, or dairy (Hence the name, healthy cafe) PS. the place is very hidden even though it is on the main strip, so keep your eyes open for it. PSS. I made several suggestions to them while I was there because I would really like to see this business thrive.... they need to offer Tamarind sauce, and expand there choices of naan bread (they really only have one). Also, might I suggest a name change? You are an Indian/Cafe restaurant. Keep up the great work and I wish your business the best!

What a disappointment. We drove 10 miles out of our way to try out this restaurant. We arrived there by 6:10 PM on a Saturday night. All sites state they are open until 8:30pm. Nope. Closed up tight. We'll never make the effort for this place again. Too bad.

I ordered the panini with naan and it was phenomenal! Don't let the outside of the establishment (currently under construction) fool you, this is the best food in Ft. Myers that I have eaten to date! Everyone should support this local business!

We have eaten lunch at this little restaurant twice this season. We ordered the chicken tandoori naanwiches and found them to be very tasty. Many of the reviewers complained about the wait for their food, but we only waited a few minutes on both occasions. I only gave it 3 stars because its location and interior are kind of a turn off - in the middle of a run down strip mall. Maybe, if they become more successful they will relocate. The owner is very polite. I wish him well, he has good food , but I would feel uneasy about going here at night.

I have been here on numerous occasions and always receive the same polite service from the gentleman I assume is the owner. Very clean and bright colored interior. The food is always great and freshly prepared. I've never heard the "ding of a microwave" as another reviewer mentioned. The menu is small and I recommend you try it all. The curry comes as spicy as you like. Overall, this place is one of those hole-in-the-wall restaurants locals love!

If i could give this place negative stars i would. First, upon walking in there are no decorations whatsoever. There is a basement style floor with stains on it and a few tables with a horrid pink wall. I ask the woman in the front if i could use a restroom and the response i get is "uhhhh, hold on" as she runs in the back. A few minutes later she comes out and lets me know i am allowed to use the restroom. I walk through the back door to walk down a hall and their is a child laying on a matt on the floor that "greets" me hello! as i walk in. I ask about items on the menu and they are barely knowledgeable about what is served. The owner walks in and comes through the curtain from the kitchen, as i catch a glimpse of children walking in the back. I tell him what i am wishing to order and he returns to the back just for me to hear microwave dings in the back. He then returns to the front of the store and plays "Eminem " over his barely working computer. We were scared for our stomachs. We walked out. go ahead, try it out if you don't believe me.... UPDATE: I just received a threatening message from one of the owners family members about my bad review. So unless you plan on lying about your experience, i suggest you stay away.

Didn't know about this place and its really hard to find and easy to miss. Nice little jem of a place. I got the tostada wrap... very good. It had black beans, green lettuce not the cheap iceberg but the nice leafy romaine, salsa, ranch and some type of tortilla chips wrapped inside a green wrap. It was very good. I got the combo and tried some veggie chips I never had before. It was a ranch flavor straws... def looking for them next time I go to the store. Also got a smoothie which was ok... It had some OJ in it and I am not a huge fan of OJ so it threw me off a little but My husband got the Pina Colada smoothie and I had his which was very very good. My husband got some type of Chicken and the name begin with a T... can't remember the name of it. It was a nanwich??? which was an Indian flat bread... the flavors were really powerful. It was great I love things with lots of flavor and boy it woke you up! It was bold and fresh. I seen someone else wrote a review that was not too good. It was clean and basic. It had bright colors on the walls and designs so not sure if they went when they first opened. They had free Wi fi which my husband really took advantage of. The only thing was you did have to wait for your food for a bit but you can see them getting everything prepaired on the spot. There was a woman and man there both which were nice and friendly. The man mainly took care of us was pleasant I am on a health kick and wanted to see how they sweetened the smoothies and he said everything was made with real fruit or fresh fruit juices and some type of sugar cane or necter... Ok don't quote me on that. It was good tho. It was not in the best neighborhood and very very hard to park in the front... make sure you park along the side of the building... I wish I would have seen that before I got stuck in the front trying to get out of the parking lot on a busy highway... but everything was very good and I would try it out again. Also got a groupon with this place and it really helped with the bill... It was like $7 and got $14 worth of food! Yep that was nice too. :)

Found this cute little place via Maps driving from Tampa to the Everglades. First thought upon seeing the store front, "This could be really bad or it could be one of those unassuming gems. Luckily, it was a gem! I had the spicy tofu naanwich but sub'd paneer (b/c I REAAAALY wanted paneer - don't judge) & "splurged" for the Signature option with Rayta (yogurt sauce). It came out looking like a soft taco, but the flavor exploded with my first bite. The naan was soft, but not chewey. The paneer had just the right amount of spiciness, flavorful heat instead of too hot to taste, which was balanced perfectly with the coolness of the Rayta - it really made the 'wich! My BF had the Saag Paneer & a banana strawberry smoothie. Though the Saag wasn't much to look at, he said both it & the smoothie were delicious. We would definitely go back!

Another hole-in-the wall gem! Easy to drive by it, but so worth finding. I highly recommend the Tandoori Naanwich, and Mango Lassi Smoothie. My wife is vegetarian and will usually get the black-bean Naanwich. Club is excellent also. Very clean! You can tell the owner really cares. And you can taste the freshness of the ingredients. Would be a regular lunch spot for me if closer to the office.

Best Indian food in SWFL and at an amazing price. The staff was extremely friendly and offered great recommendations. I will certainly be going back soon!

It took a really long time to get our naanwiches. Longer than it should have... The sandwiches were very flavorful and I love their POG tea (pineapple, orange and guava juice mixed with iced tea). We are giving this place the benefit of the doubt and will try it again.

I came here for lunch, and was pleasantly surprised. I don't know why my fellow Yelpsters are so down on this place. Yes, the interior decor is, uh., lacking. But the place is clean. The service is friendly and fast. The food is not outstanding, but very good for the price. We had the chicken tandoori Nanwich and the chicken Tikka masala curry. Both were delicious. I was tempted to lick the bowl. I don't know if I would make this a dinner out destination, but I'll be back for lunch.

LOVE the food, as a vegan living here in swfl I don't have a lot of choices, very happy they are here,I would give 5 stars, but they need to up grade atmosphere a bit , and get bigger sign

I like this place a lot. It's not perfect, it's not "fast food", but it is delicious. The name doesn't really reflect the cuisine, it is basically a lunch- style Indian restaurant. My bf raves about the naanwiches, so that was what I ordered without onions. Issue was, I went there hungry, and 40 minutes later - I was still hungry. Food just isn't made quick enough for this to be a lunch stop. Now the food, it's fresh, it's delicious and I would go back for it, but only when I have plenty of time on my hands. The strip mall it is located in is under construction so it is hard to locate from the road. The interior is a bit miss-matched, but I love all the technology. They have flat screens for the menu, an app to order, a loyalty reward program. I think all the elements are there to be a great lunch spot, but right now its still in its infancy. They frequently have groupons for $7 so keep a look out; check in on yelp for $2 off naanwich!

CHINESE NAME, INDIAN FOOD What a nice place this is. We went here for take-out and had the Chicken Tikka with basmati rice and naan. Delicious. The decor here is rather pathetic, but I get the impression that this is a relatively new business run by a young couple and they re emphasizing quality food and service, and it works. Location - 3 STARS Service - 4 STARS Food - 4 STARS Ambiance/Decor - 2 STARS

This place is exactly what you will want for healthy food that is delicious. You can dine in or take it to go. The owner is very friendly and will accommodate suggestions you may have for your order. And the smoothies are amazing at half the cost of other smoothie places. Although we do not rate nearly as often as we dine out,.. We love to eat and we know good food. This is an awesome lunch and dinner place to take your co-workers, family or friends before or after a day of shopping.

This is a wonderful restaurant! I love Indian food and this place was a great treat. I would recommend this place to everyone I know. The service was great and the food was outstanding. Yes this place is a hole in the wall but it is an absolute gem. My family and I will be repeat customers. I read that one nasty review the person left for this place and my advise is not to listen to them, they obviously have a stick up their rear end. This is a must try!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I got a mango lassie and it was the FRESHEST and the most refreshing mango lassie I had ever. It was made with fresh mangos and natural yogurt. I was in heaven with every sip. You really must try it, it will wake up your taste buds and make them dance ;) Everything I have ever tried you can honestly say this is made from fresh local ingredients. Thank you for being wonderful and giving us something really healthy and very tasty on Cleveland Ave

Hole in the wall place. A breath of fresh air amongst a sea of bad restaurants. Excellent food; get the naan sandwich! Very nice owner/manager, sizable portions of food, strawberry ice tea tastes real for once, never had a bad meal. Honestly the only thing I would ask for are better seats/improve appearance.

We dined here 4 days ago while we were on a road trip. It is a small cafe by the roadside. We were really hungry and being indians, we were craving for some indian food. We ordered channa masala, tofu naanwich, gobhi mutter and naan. Few things that I observed: 1. The guy took a long time to take our order 2. He took out packs and packs of frozen naans, heated them on a george foreman grill and served us 3. The channa was average, the gobhi mutter was really awful. The gobhi florets were also frozen I guess as I bit into some ice crystals while I tried that curry. 4.Side of Raitha (yogurt) is 75 cents and it is just 2 spoons in a teeny weeny cup All in all, a very bad experience. The guy seems really nice though.

Fantastic authentic Indian food at a fair price. So happy to have a delicious and healthy option in this part of town, especially one with legit vegetarian dishes. The food is bold, fresh, and tasty, and the staff is friendly to boot. I will be back once a week at least.

I was really excited to try this place after seeing an ad in a local magazine. I thought from the (rather misleading) name and description that it was a health food cafe. It turned out to be your very basic Indian food cafe. Now, I love Indian food and have gone to Indian restaurants all over the world, except for India, and I even make it myself at home too (I'm not Indian). The guy taking my order who I think also dabbles as a cook and is possibly the owner, seemed to be of Indian descent which is always a good sign in my book- so I figured he'd know his Indian food ! Alas, the food was very disappointing- out of the 3 things I ordered (Gobi Matar, Golden Gram lentil and spinach curry, and tomato soup), only Gobi Matar had some semblance of what I'm used to getting in Indian restaurants. Tomato soup was overly sweet (it's still sitting in our fridge as no one wants to eat it) and Gram Dal was extremely soupy and also way too sweet. Basmati rice was ok, but nothing to write home about. And the mother of all Indian food, Naan bread ? Well, it's store bought ! As for the service ? Just one word- bleh... In summary- nothing happy (or healthy) about this place. The only good thing is they have clearly noted "vegetarian" and "vegan" dishes on the menu. Also, the decor (if you can call it that) is pretty random- it's like they threw a bunch of things together from garage sales, Pier 1 or Ross' housewares department, especially the food "art" on the walls. Perhaps they should rename to something like "Bombay palace" and stick to proven and time-tested Indian recipes. And instead of spending $$ on flat screen TVs to display menus, perhaps they'd be better spent on nice chairs and counter- both of which look pathetic, among other things ! It really is a shame- Ft. Myers area has practically no good health food (vegetarian, raw, etc) or good Indian restaurants. And here's another botched attempt. I hope the owners read this and take notice.

I love the signatur tandoori naanwich! Every time I come in the scent of the food makes my mouth water. Only downside is the parking situation.

This place is fantastic. We get take-out from there regularly and have always had great food and great service. It's cheaper than India Palace but still quality. And we are picky. The decor is simple, but it's clean. It's a hidden gem in Fort Myers.

I also got a groupon for this and decide to try something new. We had the tandoori chicken naanwich is like a panini but the chicken have some type of indian sauce, it taste fresh but with a kick its delicious!!! We already gone a second time in a week for more!!! The decor of the place is nothing great like any other simple cafe but everything look clean, the parking in front is a PITA and is hard to find if you are not looking for it but the food is completely worth it. Completely recommend this place if you are looking for a different but delicious lunch.
